General information

To give the best possible driving experience, good cabin air quality is just as important as an efficient, high-performing engine. Car filters and filtration systems work hard to optimize the cabin environment, preventing airborne particles such as dust, pollutants, pollens, and other allergens from entering the cabin and taking the driver’s attention away from the road. In particular, they prevent particulates from entering the HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system. Without a properly functioning cabin air filter, the ventilation system won’t receive the continuous flow of clean air that it needs.

Are there different types of car air filters?
DENSO offers two types of high quality cabin air filters:
1. PARTICLE FILTERS
DENSO Particle Filters feature high quality, non-woven fabric to remove major air pollutants including dust, soot, lead, sulphates and exhaust particles. The filter fabric is so effective that it can remove particles just a few tenths of a micron in size – ensuring a safer, more pleasant in-car environment.
2. COMBINATION FILTERS
DENSO’s Combination Filters use high quality, non-woven fabric enhanced by an added layer of activated charcoal. This highly effective technology removes 25% more major pollutants from the air than standard Particle Filters – as well as eliminating unpleasant, even harmful, gases and smells.
How often should you replace your car air filter?
To keep cabin air fresh, clean and safe to breath, it is important that Cabin Air Filters are changed every 10,000 – 15,000 km, once a year, or as specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
