The main purpose of an air conditioning system is to maintain the air in the passenger compartment at a comfortable environmental level by cooling or heating the air blown into the passenger compartment.

In addition it will reduce humidity, dust and smells in the passenger compartment. To perform these operations, the car’s air conditioning system generally consists of a heater, evaporator and a ventilation system including a blower, air ducts, and air purifier.

The main components of the refrigeration cycle:

  • Compressor driven by the car engine
  • Condenser
  • Receiver / Drier
  • Expansion Valve
  • Evaporator

The system components are connected to each other with different tubes and hoses.
