DENSO introduces QR Code authentication system
As an Original Equipment (OE) manufacturer, DENSO prioritises customer confidence and product integrity. To address the growing challenge of counterfeit parts, the company has developed a new QR Code authentication feature, launching in January 2026. Initially available for the new five-layer DENSO ClearAir+ cabin air filter (CAF) range, this system will be extended to its other replacement products in the future.
How It Works
Scanning the QR Code displayed on the product packaging confirms its authenticity and provides assurance that the DENSO CAF delivers advanced five-layer protection for cleaner cabin air and improved air conditioning system performance.
To help garages engage in the trial and get used to checking the QR Code, DENSO is also introducing the ClearAir+ Promo Campaign, which automatically enters them into a raffle to win a guaranteed prize, but also tries their luck to win one of the top prizes.
This campaign reflects DENSO’s commitment to transparency and innovation, giving customers confidence in purchasing genuine products and celebrating the launch of the new DENSO ClearAir+.
Scan and Verify. Spin and Win.
After scanning and verifying the product, the mechanic can complete a short quiz and spin a digital wheel to claim guaranteed gifts such as backpacks, snoods, beanies, etc.
However, mechanics who scan 10 different QR Codes and more, will increase their chances to win the top prizes, including an iPhone Air 17, PlayStation 5, or an Apple Watch SE 3. The winners will be selected monthly at random using a randomizer.
What do you need to do?
If you are a mechanic working in a garage, simply scan the QR code on the new DENSO ClearAir+ cabin air filter packaging and follow a few easy steps to enter the competition to win top prizes!
