More coverage, same quality: DENSO expands its alternator range
Alternators are an indispensable component and one that DENSO’s research and development team have refined over many decades of production, so that its units are among the lightest, most compact and yet most powerful in the market.
The 51 new alternators are linked to 340 OE part numbers, covering almost 3,300 applications and catering for more than 70 million passenger cars and light commercial vehicles throughout Europe.
Demonstrating the breadth of coverage, the additions cater for applications from VMs including BMW, Chrysler, Citroën, Dacia, Ford, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia, Mercedes, Nissan, Peugeot, Opel, Renault and Vauxhall, but with 19 of the 51 part numbers, it’s VAG applications that feature most prominently.
Notable models comprise the Audi A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A8, Q2, Q3, Q5, Q7 and TT, the Seat Alhambra, Arona, Ateca, Altea, Cordoba, Ibiza, Leon and Toledo, the Škoda CitiGo, Fabia, Kamiq, Karoq, Kodiaq, Octavia, Rapid, Roomster, Superb and Yeti, as well as numerous VWs, such as the Beetle, Eos, Golf, Jetta, Passat, Polo, Scirocco, Sharan, Tiguan and Touareg.
However, it’s not just passenger cars that are addressed with these additions, as the buoyant light commercial vehicle sector is very well represented with popular applications including the Citroën Jumper, the Mercedes Sprinter, Viano and Vito, the Nissan Kubistar and Primstar, the Peugeot Expert, Partner and Rifter, the VW Caddy, Crafter, Transporter and the Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro.
Finally, recreational vehicles also feature with the VW Amarok, California and Caravelle catered for in the programme.
Naturally, these additions can be found via the DENSO e-catalogue and via TecDoc, and are available from DENSO distributors throughout Europe.
