New catalogue for DENSO’s rotating range announced as programme expands

DENSO, a world-leading OE rotating machines manufacturer and one of the strongest providers of original equipment quality, advanced technology replacement Starters and Alternators, has announced the expansion of its OEM quality Starters and Alternators programme for aftermarket customers.

Listed in the new DENSO Europe B.V. After Market Starters and Alternators catalogue 2013/14, the updated range includes 16 new part numbers.

The new catalogue includes five new Starter part references and 123 new applications including Mercedes C Class, E class, SLK, Viano, Vito and Sprinter. The catalogue also includes details of eleven new Alternator part numbers and 265 applications including many European marques.

The new applications cover both new and existing part numbers in the extensive OE quality aftermarket programme. In total the programme now includes 192 Alternator part references, covering 2,546 applications and 56 Starter part references, covering 1,128 applications.

“We have been expanding our range continually in recent years, including new part numbers for modern, fuel efficient models,” said Pieter Prins, Product Manager Rotating, DENSO After Market. “This new catalogue not only gives our customers the latest details on new part numbers and applications, but also includes additional and updated images for easy part identification.”

DENSO’s expanded Starters and Alternators range includes the Advanced Engagement (AE) Starter, Tandem Solenoid (TS) Starter, Permanently Engaged (PE) Starter as well as the Stop-Start Starter - Tandem Solenoid (TS) - introduced for Volkswagen Bluemotion models in 2012. The Alternator range includes the Alternator launched for BMW (DAN1040) in April 2012 – suitable for BMW 1 & 3 series: E81, E82, E90, E91, E92, E93.

Unlike many other brands, DENSO’s aftermarket Starters and Alternators are completely new-in-box rather than re-manufactured. With no core surcharge administration is greatly reduced; ensuring a high quality product made from genuine parts, at a competitive price.
