DENSO brings its air conditioning expertise to the online LKQ Academy

DENSO is a leading original equipment manufacturer and system supplier to vehicle manufacturers around the world, with air conditioning among its many specialisms, and sharing this expert knowledge with the independent aftermarket is one of the company’s foundation principles.

DENSO has a reputation for sharing its extensive original equipment product knowledge with the service and repair industry, exemplified by its pioneering online technical training, which provides free access to a multitude of modules, addressing a comprehensive range of topics across all the company’s product groups, including air conditioning (AC).

Always looking at ways to improve the reach of this material and further engage professional technicians, in 2020, DENSO launched its League of True Mechanics (LOTM) online training competition, which has proved a great success throughout Europe and helped many raise their knowledge and on the job skills, with courses accredited by the IMI.

In a similar vein, the LKQ Academy is another online platform that is dedicated to raising standards and increasing knowledge across the service and repair community. As an approved supplier to the highly respected company, DENSO has joined forces with LKQ and made the first of several of its AC training modules – the basics of AC and AC components – available through the LKQ Academy portal, which again provides IMI accredited training to its users.

“Providing hardworking aftermarket professionals with the information they need to do their job better, and more efficiently, is a common goal for DENSO and LKQ,” said Fatiha Laauich from DENSO Aftermarket Europe, “which makes the collaboration of our technical knowhow, available through the LKQ portal, a benefit for all parties.

“Although we have our own frequently used e-learning portal, and popular LOTM competition, providing even greater access to our training material through one of our most important partners, will help increase the number of professionals able to access it, which can only help but raise standards in the industry.”
