Sales of hybrid and electric vehicles are increasing rapidly throughout Europe, which will have an impact in the independent service and repair sector, so technicians need to be aware, and workshops equipped for the future.
As an example of the company’s outward looking nature, DENSO Aftermarket has begun to support the charity Veterans in Action, which is dedicated to the needs of former members of the armed forces and others suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), with workshop equipment and clothing, alongside its distribution partner, Terrafirma 4x4.
Wholesalers and their workshop customers can benefit from smart consolidation with DENSO lambda sensors
Due to the fact that they were the predominant ignition coils used by vehicle manufacturers (VMs) between 2000 and 2010, ‘stick’ coils, a design originally devised and patented by DENSO in 1997, are currently the most common ignition coil type seen in the aftermarket. Although since 2015, an increasing number of VMs have turned to COP coils, forecasts reveal that the stick will remain the mainstream coil in the aftermarket until at least the mid-2020s.
In April 2021, DENSO Europe’s Aftermarket division restructured its European operations and introduced the ‘One EU Aftermarket’ model, to consolidate the company’s central, western, eastern and southern regions into a single operation, in order to optimise the relationships it has with its valued customers.
