Thermal management additions from DENSO Aftermarket
DENSO is a TM specialist and a trusted OE supply partner for many vehicle manufacturers, which means its aftermarket programme encompasses the premium quality replacement products that independents need to confidently service and repair their customer’s vehicles.
By its nature, the aftermarket programme is in constant growth and this spring DENSO has supplemented its already comprehensive range with the introduction of another 59 TM part numbers, that cover 107 OE references and cater for more than 1,200 vehicle applications across Europe.
The additions include 28 air conditioning (AC) condensers, 21 radiators, six cabin blowers and four cooling fans.
The AC system not only provides important cabin comfort for the occupants, but it also plays an important role in ensuring the TM of the high voltage battery in some electric vehicles, which is vital for the range, efficiency and reliability of the whole vehicle. Therefore, replacement AC components, like the condensers that form part of these new introductions, must be of the highest quality.
Condenser applications covered include the Audi E-tron, BMW 1,2,3 and 4 Series, as well as the X1, X2, X5, X6 and X7, Ford Kuga III, Honda Accord, Civic X and CR-V, Hyundai H100, Ioniq, Niro, Santa Fe IV and Tucson, Kia Rio IV, Sorento III, Sportage and Stonic, Mazda CX-9 and MX-5, Mercedes EQE, Mini Clubman and Countryman, Polestar 2, Porsche Taycan, Toyota Land Cruiser and Yaris, Volvo C40, XC 40 and EX40 and VW Crafter and Golf VII.
Although each component within the TM system is vital, the heat exchanging elements are fundamental and by incorporating its specialist knowledge, DENSO’s radiators set the standard, not only in their quality, but also in their design and construction. This makes them so efficient, that an example with a frontal area of only 0.2m2, actually has a cooling surface area of 6m2!
Of the 21 new to range radiators, notable additions include the BMW 1, 2, 3 and 4 Series, plus the Z4 and i8, the Honda Civic X, CR-V and Pilot, Hyundai EV6, i30, Kona, Sonata VII and Tucson, Kia Soul and Sportage, Mercedes CLS, E-Class and GLC, as well as the Toyota Hilux.
The cabin blowers and cooling fans together cater for the BMW 1, 2 ,3, and 4 Series, Fiat Stilo, Hyundai Accent IV and Grand Santa Fe, Kia Soul, Mercedes A-Class, B-Class, CLA, GLA, SLK, SLC, Vito and V-Class, Opel Meriva B and Renault Clio III, Modus and Twingo II.
