DENSO introduces electric compressors as part of the latest A/C programme expansion: all listed in the new 2012/13 A/C Components catalogue.

The world’s number one manufacturer of original equipment automotive thermal systems, DENSO, has launched its first electric compressors range as part of its expanded, OEM quality Air Conditioning Components programme for aftermarket customers. Every part is listed in a new DENSO A/C Components Catalogue 2012/13 (Ref: DEAC12-0001) available from May 2012.

The new catalogue contains up to date listings of DENSO’s replacement A/C Compressors, A/C Condensers and Compressor Oil. The listings include details of 61 new compressor references, including eight electric compressor part references, covering applications for Audi A6 and A8, BMW X1, X6, 5 and 7 series; Honda Accord; Mercedes C (204), E (211 and 212), M (164), S (221), Sprinter; Mitsubishi Pajero, Porsche; Renault Megane III; Suzuki Grand Vitara; Toyota Yaris, Auris, Corolla, Prius, Camry and Land Cruiser.

The eight new electric compressor part numbers cover Toyota and Lexus Hybrid vehicles.

As well as helpful cross-reference charts and application tables, the catalogue also contains an extensive information section including a technical overview of the air conditioning system, detailed product descriptions and helpful installation instructions.

DENSO is a developer and manufacturer of advanced original equipment Air Conditioning and Engine Cooling systems for leading car manufacturers worldwide. With a 42% OE market share it is also the world leader in A/C compressors, selected by top vehicle manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, Fiat, Mercedes, Porsche, Toyota and VW. Just one of DENSO’s recent A/C innovations is the development of electric compressors. An inbuilt motor allows the DENSO Electric Compressor to operate independently, providing consistent levels of air conditioning even when the vehicle is stationery, making the cabin air more comfortable.

DENSO’s replacement A/C Components programme brings the company’s advanced technologies and OEM quality manufacture direct to the aftermarket. Its A/C Compressor programme includes 10PA, 10S, 7SBU, SE, Scroll (SC), Through Vane (TV), Reciprocal (swash), Rotary (vane and scroll) and Electric Scroll (ES) types. All DENSO A/C Compressors are new, filled with the right amount of oil and delivered as complete assemblies. Extensive car parc coverage is assured by the range, which currently comprises 400 part numbers covering over 2,500 applications.

DENSO also offers a variety of different A/C Condenser types: Dual Flow, Triple Flow, Multi Flow and Super Cool. The continually expanding aftermarket range currently consists of 320 part numbers covering over 2,800 applications. All DENSO A/C Condensers, particularly the most recent applications, have a cutting-edge integral filter to assure greater air conditioning efficiency.

Peter Valek, Product Manager at DENSO Europe B.V.’s Business Unit Aftermarket, comments: “With the addition of our new electric compressors, DENSO’s extensive A/C Components programme offers even more superb profit opportunities. Whether you are a distributor or garage, the new DENSO catalogue provides everything you need to know.”
