DENSO brings Le Mans to Liverpool for GROUPAUTO Trade Show

DENSO attended the GROUPAUTO Show in Liverpool on 2nd October, where GROUPAUTO members caught an exclusive glimpse of Toyota’s TS030 Hybrid Le Mans Prototype racing car from the 2012-2013 season.

Attended by GAU and UAN Trading Group Members and regarded as one of the most important events in DENSO Sales UK’s calendar, around 1,000 delegates registered for the event at the brand new Liverpool Exhibition Centre. This was the first edition since GROUPAUTO and United Aftermarket Network (UAN) trading groups joined forces in March this year.

Visitors to the DENSO stand had the opportunity to see some thrilling highlights from past championship races as well as receive an exclusive TS030 poster and some Toyota Racing merchandise. Over the years, DENSO and Toyota have closely cooperated in the field of car racing. DENSO has played a pivotal role in the overall concept of the TS030 Hybrid before developing a rear hybrid motor system specifically for the TS040 Hybrid model that steered the team to victory at the World Endurance Championship in 2014. Toyota became the first Japanese company to win both the World Championship title as well as the drivers’ title at the same event.

Throughout the event there was also the opportunity to find out more about DENSO’s world-leading, Original Equipment product and parts programmes including Spark Plugs, Glow Plugs, Engine Management Systems, Rotating Electrics, Cabin Air Filters, Starters & Alternators and Thermal Systems.

In addition, the team were equipped with a wealth of product information on the stand, which also featured a ‘live’ working A/C Compressor. Trading Group members were also given invaluable insight into the latest developments on a state-of-the-art stand featuring cut-away product samples as well as a technical video showcase.
