The Beginning of Track2Track

After months of planning, DENSO’s Track 2 Track campaign finally got underway today at Moscow Raceway

We spent the weekend in the amazing city of Moscow taking some pictures with our two Track 2 Track racing drivers – British Rebecca Jackson and Russian Natalia Freidina. With a backdrop as stunning and imposing as Moscow, we were always on to a winner when it came to getting some amazing shots but the addition of our DENSO Ford Mustang only added more spice.

Today, the campaign proper got underway with the first of three events we’re holding for media and DENSO’s customers / distributors.

We were delighted to host more than 30 distributors at Moscow Raceway, where we introduced them to the new Iridium TT spark plug and told them all about its unique technical benefits.

Our guests were then treated to some on-track action courtesy of Moscow Raceway’s Porsche Experience, before Rebecca and hometown girl Natalia showed them how it’s really done, taking the guests out on track in our own Mustang and Nissan 350Z.

After that experience, DENSO’s Russian customers can be in no doubt about the performance of both the Iridium TT and the Track 2 Track drivers!

This afternoon, it was the turn of the Russian media to find out all about the Iridium TT and Track 2 Track. Rebecca and Natalia have been kept very busy doing TV and print media interviews, before once again taking to the fantastic Moscow circuit to give the attending journalists a taste of life in the fast lane with some taxi rides in the DENSO cars.

If we’re brutally honest, the weather hasn’t been massively kind to us – it’s been a cold, rather wet day at the Moscow track but that didn’t stop our two drivers from taking on the Track 2 Track Time Attack Challenge.

The girls went head-to-head to see who could set the fastest lap time around the Moscow Raceway circuit – just for fun, of course – and both gave it their all on what was a very slippery circuit. In the end, local knowledge won through and Natalia was quickest on her home turf.

Over the next nine days, we’ll be travelling through a total of nine countries (including our start point here in Russia) and hosting another two media/distributor days like today – one in Poznan in Poland and one at the famous Brands Hatch circuit in England, where our adventure will come to an end.

In between those circuit-based events, though, there will be plenty for you to catch up on – as we drive across Europe, we’ll be visiting three ex-F1 circuits that have been consigned to history as we celebrate DENSO’s own rich motorsport and performance heritage.

With the kick-off event complete, we’re itching to get on the road and discover lost circuits, find out more about how DENSO works with its customers across Europe and spread the good news about the launch of the Iridium TT.

Please do join us on the journey by coming back to visit us at www.densotrack2track.com, and follow our social channels for more content than you can shake a spark plug at – it promises to be an amazing trip.
